Power Transformers

Power transformers are used step down or step up operations in high voltage networks. The differences between the copper loss and and iron loss are maintained through optimization of maximum efficiency at full load. Due to this nature these transformers are designed to operate closer to the knee point of B-H curve, the core mass can reduced very much by this strategy. These transformers operate under low fluctuations of load because these transformers are connected on transmission networks.

Power transformers are operates under very high voltages . Because of high voltages and transmission network operations these are highly insulated an usually larger than distribution transformer .

KVA PROCESS manufactures power transformers from 3 MVA 11 KV to 50 MVA 132 kv class . All transformers can be supplied with the desired tapings either with Off load tap changers or with on load tap changers . we can always manufacture intermediate sizes with non standards voltages ranges as per customer requirements . FOR POWER TRANSFORMERS VERY MUCH IMPORTANT PART IS TO DRAIN OUT MOISTURE FROM THE WINDING . KVA PROCESS always maintained dielectric strength of the transformers. We have sufficient heating chamber arrangement to baking the assembled transformers for drain out moisture .

For these type of transformers most important insulating material is mineral oil . KVA PROCESS use mineral oil as per IS 335 EHV grade.

Next important part is tank body of power transformers. KVA PROCESS always use fabricated tanks with adequately thick M.S sheets / plates sufficient stiffeners, both vertical and horizontal , vacuum withstand test and pressure withstand test are conducted for all the transformers . We use pressed steel radiators or fin type cooling radiators panel for efficient cooling . we use fan also in ONAF cooling . we always taking care of proper cooling of the transformers .
